The knock on the door drifted through my dreams, but I wasn’t ready to greet the day. An arm tightened around me, bringing my back closer to a toned chest, and I smiled. Last night had been amazing. So had this morning when Mike had woken me up with his tongue.

There were many things I’d seen while on tour with Nate—national monuments, wonders of the world, Mother Nature’s miracles. Nothing, and I mean nothing, was better than waking up to the view of Mike’s face between my thighs. The thought alone had me squeezing my legs together and pushing back into his warmth.

I had just started to drift back into unconsciousness when a door shut somewhere in the distance.

“Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey!” Lia’s voice, way too perky that early in the morning, called out from the porch.

Mike growled out an inaudible response in his sleep, and I smiled, in complete agreement. When she called again, though, my subconscious wouldn’t let me ignore it and I was suddenly very awake. And very naked. Next to an equally bare Mike. I sat up in a panic.

Lia was leaning against the open French doors, laughing silently. “Morning, sunshine.”

Not only was she too energetic after drinking as much as she had the night before, she was too fucking happy about walking in on us. “This isn’t what it looks like.”

Her laughter bubbled out. “No?”

Before I could answer, a thick arm wrapped itself around my waist, making me jump in surprise, and pulled me back to the bed. Rolling over me, so his back was to the door, sheltering me, he kissed the tip of my nose. “Hello, beautiful.” He didn’t let me respond before he lifted his middle finger toward our friend. “It’s exactly what it looks like. Now fuck off.”

“I really wish I could.” The joy in her voice was clear, making me roll my eyes. “But we have to be on the road in fifteen minutes.”

“Ever hear of a fucking phone?” Mike asked, irritation clear.

Lia actually tsked at him, the way a mother or sister would. “Somebody didn’t get enough sleep last night.”

“I swear to fucking Christ, Lee…” Mike growled back.

Lia either didn’t take the threat seriously, or she didn’t care, laughing again. “Both of your phones went straight to voice mail, so I volunteered to come down and get you.” Clapping her hands, she continued. “Up, up. We’ve gotta get moving.”

Mike rolled his eyes. “Do not move.” Looking over his shoulder, he spoke to her. “I’m not getting out of this bed until you leave.”

“Please. It isn’t like I haven’t seen it before.”

Mike’s head jerked back to me when my body stiffened as the shock of that statement rocked me to my core.

“No.” He shook his head, reading my thoughts. “No.” I felt the blood drain from my face as a million different thoughts flooded my mind. A giant palm cupped my cheek and he leaned in to kiss me, as if trying to force my panic away. His thumb slid over my cheek as he spoke, “Clarify that, Lee.”

******ARC REVIEW OF Playing With Fire BY Alison Bliss *************

OMG, I loved Playing with Fire. It is the second book in the Tangled in Texas series and I absolutely adored it. 

Anna Weber is every inch of the young , proper, virginal librarian that you had when you were young. She dresses very prim and proper but she has flaming RED hair that shows she has hidden passions underneath. Anna wants to spend time with her friends before she has to go far away—Ms. Anna has somewhat of a fire about her and is very brave. She is a true heroine in this story. She is sweet but a bit sassy at times. Oh and she gives as good as she gets--There is a huge mystery that is around Anna-and because of this, Anna thinks she has to go away .
Now the hero is one ALPHA—and OMG- its COWBOY- y’all will remember him from book 1 in in Rules of Protection. I was super excited when I heard this was his story. He is back and in form for this story. When Cowboy is around Anna, he wants her because she calls to him. She makes him mad, she makes him frustrated but above him, she makes him hot and horny {smile}. OH MY. Well, he makes her the same. Like calls to like. There is a HUGE mystery and they are trying to find the person who is doing the crazy things when they are in the area of Anna. Be Prepared for TONS of action, lots of hot and sexy time between Cowboy and Anna and above all, the answers to questions raised. Twists and Turns happened all the way up to the end and that is my favorite. I loved this story and I cannot wait for book 2 in the TNT series.

ARC REVIEW OF Wed to the Bad Boy by KAYLEE SONG

·         Oh my!  Kaylee Song has done it again-She wrote another great book AND she wrote this book so I COULDN’T go to bed until I finished it- but she is forgiven because this book had everything that I loved that made this a kick a&& book. Bad Boy is on the hunt and he has his sight on the prize…target…well, you get the picture. This is one fantastic story that has action, suspense, hot and passionate copulation, and big BAD MAFIA guys. Oh but there is so much more to this story…Two Mafia families at war, two mafia kids in love (Romeo and Julia?) and so much more…

Joanna is working off her father’s debt to Grayson’s father in a bar when she sees him one night getting beat up. She just says something and that was the beginning to the end for Greyson wanted her and what he wanted he got. Joanna is hiding secrets for her family is one of their emeries in the Mob side. She took the job only so she didn’t have to her uncle. Soon she and Greyson are going out and that is when things blow sky-high. They are forced into a situation cause by her family, there is a rat and loyalties are divided. Bad things are coming. Greyson is a tough alpha male and he WANTS Jo, NEEDS Jo…what he wants, he gets. Jo on the other hand, hates being forced into situations that she didn’t ask for. She has defnately strong feelings for Greyson and their intimate moments are intense and the sex is OMG intense..As a reader, I loved the sex scenes; This story is about a couple who finds love out of a strong moment in time and while being forced by outside forces. Can their love that is brewing have a chance or will the danger from the rat strike and Jo be hurt?

I hope the author will write a follow-up book about the secondary cast of characters in the story-- Mary, Willa  and Janson . They definitely need their own stories written.

ARC REVIEW OF Prince Albert: A Billionaire Stepbrother Romance BY SABRINA PAIGE

Omg! Sabrina Paige does it again— DELICIOUS AND NAUGHTY REIGN SUPREME!!

Isabella “Belle” Kensington has had a pretty bad night and then she is run into by a handsome, sexy stranger. Now, she is drunk and just found out the guy she was due to marry was having an affair behind her back. This handsome stranger is attracted to Belle and they end up spending a lot of time together and before you know it—BAM, They end up marrying at a chapel by an Elvis impersonator.  They do not see each other again(because Belle ran) …….for the next two weeks until Belle is summoned by her mother to meet her new soon to be stepfather who is King of Protrovia , yes you read it and her mom wants to have her spend the summer getting to know her new family. Belle really didn’t want to but its her mom so she goes and when she meets her new step brother… he is Prince Albert and he is her new husband, the one who she married in Las Vegas.

Prince Albert is very glad to see his runaway bride. He cannot wait to do dirty, filthy things to her. He knew that she didn’t know who he was when they met before and that made her a diamond in the rough before; also, she was like a breath of fresh air. Even though drunk, she still was someone he had fun with and could talk to without feeling bored. This bad boy has a game plan to woo his reluctant bride and I mean, reluctant, over to his way of thinking. He has so many hot, nasty, dirty, naughty fun things planned for his misses that I enjoyed reading about it. Oh and this bad boy has a piercing- taken after his name. Let the Fun time commenced.

This is one story that is full of twists and turns, one that is on a roller coaster ride of emotions mostly caused by Belle’s mom and her antics. I will say watching Albie and Belle outwit her was the play of the day, week at any given time and I really enjoyed it.   This is a beautifully written story about a man who loves a girl and the way they expressed their love. Thru every up and down with lots and lots of  dirty, filthy lovemaking. This is SP at her best and I cannot wait to read she has next, because this was fantastic.- Love live the Prince!

This was my first time reading Virna DePaul and I really enjoying her book “Filthy Rich”. 

Cara Michal’s father was a hardworking investment adviser when he was wrongfully accused of fraud. That put her family thru a horrifying time and ever since then, Cara has had to work super hard and fight for everything she has ever got to get where she is today. Her father died and her family fractured apart..now she is having to take care of her family and work for a living. She rarely gets anytime for herself. Out one rare night for an evening of fun, she meets Brandon Duke, this super sexy, mysterious man and her body is drawn to him like a moth to the flame. 

Brandon Duke is a self-made billionaire on Wall Street. He buys D&M to help the SEC to investigate the company , not to earn funds. When he meets Cara, he wants her in his bed. When they get closer to each other , suddenly there is a stalker on the horizon who is making noises but they have each other. They are concerned but with each other around, they are willing to stand strong in the face of trouble. These two do not know that they have been involved with each other for years but the twists and turns in this story will be reveled—will Cara be willing to stand strong for a man she is falling in love with? Or will the pain of the past push them apart..

This was a deeply intense, erotic story that had drama, action, suspense all written into the flow of the story. I loved the MC of the story. Brandon was a great ALPHA hero. He wasn’t a bad guy, just a man who had some flaws. I loved how he realized a gem that he had in Cara. And Cara was a great heroine—her past shaped her present and her future. My heart broke for her because of what happened to her and her family but she came out strong and she was a great mate for Brandon. I highly recommend this story for anyone who likes Sylvia Day or Lori Foster. I will definitely purchase this author again in the future.

What a great stepbrother story- Leah doesn’t know that her dad’s new wife’s son is her childhood bully. When she finds out , she is shocked but even more so when she learns she has to share the home with him while their parents are off honeymooning. Leah doesn’t know how to take David who now goes by Threat and oh boy is he- a tall, and handsome threat to her sanity. I found Leah to be a bookworm, a lot into books and sort of an introvert while David is an extrovert. The story really gets going when they ended up having to take a trip. On this trip, we get to see Leah relax and open up ( courtesy of Threat) and she starts to think maybe things have changed. There are so maybe emotional twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Oh the games they played were oh so good, loved it. And the emotions are great—one minute your laughing, the next crying with the characters. Fanastic storyline that goes with the flow. Cannot wait to read the nest story from this author.

Chelsea Hall is a puzzle wrapped in a sexy body. During the day, she is a specialty soaps designer, by night, she's a knockabout roller derby skater. But see, Chelsea lives in total fear of her past, so much that does not want to be alone but she also doesn’t want to date. There lies the problem she has. She is afraid to date , to meet men. She lives in her wrap of protection by her dear friends. That all changes when she goes to Chelsea's dear friend, Gretchen wedding. There she meets a handsome man and an immediate attraction is formed for Sebastian, and an instant feeling of comfort and safety and also attraction for Chelsea. This leads to Chelsea and Sebastian to take a quick trip down the aisle. Now this was only supposed to be a temporary fix for Seb but will this turn into something more for both parties or will this lead to heartbreak for all parties involved? 
I really enjoyed getting to know the MC in this story. Chelsea is such a strong woman and her issues from her past do not deter me in anyway in not liking her, in fact it makes me like her more. I feel for her ; I totally like the fact she has this split personality in a way- she tries to get herself out there to prove she can do it. My heart hurt for her at times and I am so glad Seb is there for her. And OMG, there is SEB-what a hunk. And for him having to deal with his crazy family, I know how he feels about crazy relatives and all. These two work well together. Overall, this is one terrific book and is one of those that I did not want to send. I cannot wait for another book in the Billionaire stories to come out.

***********ARC REVIEW OF Out Of The Blue (Bama Boys #2) by Carina Adams**********

Out of the Blue is book 2 in the Bama book series. We have a terrific story told in dual POV which is great because we get the main characters POV. This is Mike and Molly's story. I am so glad that Mike’s story was next up because in the last book, his story was calling out to be told.
In this book, Mike is back working for Lia, who is married to his best friend Nate. It is bittersweet for him because she is his best friend and also someone whom is his long-lost love. He has never told her how he felt and has kept his feelings under lock and key. Lia is now Molly’s manager after she fired Eli as her manager and she has asked Mike to be Molly’s security manager after am “incident”. He agreed reluctantly. He didn’t want to be back in Lia’s world but for her, he will. 
Molly is a sweet gal, alittle naïve and is someone who happens to be like a Taylor Swift when it comes to the tabloids. They find something to say or make up when it comes to her and last year they made up a threesome triangle between her , Nate and Lia when that was sooooo not true. She and Nate were friends and now they are all friends. Molly is considered the “bad girl” of country music when she is really a good girl who tries to please everyone but can do nothing right for anyone. She feels like what she loved doing is no longer fun and she does not love it anymore. Then there is Mike- she doesn’t know what to make of him and there are her feelings for him.
Mike takes this job , hoping to see more of his son from his previous marriage to his ex Julia. Julia comes around and she throws a spanner into the works with his relationship with Molly. I have to say that I didn’t like Julia very much. She was someone who wasn’t a very nice person. There was something about her that , as a reader, you didn’t feel much sympathy for. In this story which is told in a matter of months we get a backstory of what ties Julia and Mike together and how they ended up having a child together. And how Mike and Molly are together at this point since they have known each other for a while. There are many twists and turns in this story which makes this a truly wonderful story. Ms Adams wove an emotional story with a great flow. I loved the MC and the supporting cast of characters –Lia, Nate, Noah, Roxanne, Julia—and oh I cannot wait to read Noah’s story next. You will not go wrong in reading this lovely emotional read. Mike and Molly will grip your heartstrings and wont let go, nor will you want them to.

This is an awesome courtroom romance book from Sawyer Bennett. Leary Michael is a top litigator with the law firm of Knight & Payne. She is one of those litigators who goes work for good. We see how she got to be the best . Her story is one that will pull on your heartstrings and will make you root for her. She is working on a case that she identifies with and makes it her mission to win this case as a way for getting justice.
Reeve Holloway-well, Mister Sexy Pants Lawyer who is working on the same case as Leary. He is the opposing counsel & defends big companies and doesn’t really see where Leary is coming from. Reeve is not so morally there, for he walks a close call on what he call right. He sees this as being a make or break case. 
With the two of them going up against each other, the sexual chemistry is very high between them. They finally decide they will be “friends with benefits” and also maintain a professional distance in court. But will that really solve anything? The tension continues to build between them and its only a matter of time before something or someone gives.. 
I loved Leary, she had compassion and she had morals and to read about that in a lawyer was refreshing. Her story was heartbreaking, and to see her stand tall and to give a care about others, wow, that made me care more about her and to make sure she got the HEA she needs. And Reeve, well, at first, I didn’t know if he was good for her or not, but by the end of the story, I really liked him. I understood him. I saw he really was an old softie under that hard exterior. He might play hard ball in court but when it came to his lady, he really was a good man. I loved this story and although this is my first time reading a Legal Affairs book, this will not my last.

Prologue

My heart pounded in unwavering beats. I stood over him, tears rushing down my cheeks, my eyes unblinking at the slumped form sprawled across the seeping maroon concrete.
