My Review:

Dangerous King is book 1 in the all new Street Kings series by Sienna Snow. This is  Nikhill (Nik) and Danika (Dani)'s story. They   knew each other as young kids on the wrong side of the blanket. Danika was torn away from Nikhill by her uncle as a young teen and now as adults, they are back in each others' orbits. These two have intense chemistry together. The secrets ,  friendship,  attraction,  drama,  passion,  angst,  many twists and turns that take place and the dark romance is plenty strong in this book. I enjoyed Nik and Dani's mafia romance/friends to lovers/ 2nd chance romance read. I am excited to read the other Street Kings - Kiran, Samir and Reyhan's books 📚.

My Review:

Playing for Keeps is book 10 in Hope Valley series by Jessica Prince. This is Charlotte (Charlie) aka Thumbelina and Dalton aka Cowboy's story. Theirs is such a emotionally heart-wrenching story at times. It definitely starts off in a hopeless and painful way for Charlie. She has had such a hard life. Because of how bad her life has been, she has had to make sure she has her heart encased with shatter-proof material. But she wasn't expecting Dalton to come along and test that shatter proof material surrounding her heart, nor trying to make Charlie see that she really was wanted. Charlie  tried so hard to keep Dalton away from her because of some messed up logic which made sort of sense that she wasn't worthy because of her past would affect her present and taint anything she touched and make it dirty. It wasn't true but to Charlie,  she believed it so it was true. Dalton refused to give up and oh yes, his hot AF alpha male self was in full effect and he showed Charlie how she was wanted and that she was beautiful,  needed as only Dalton could. There was danger, action, excitement,  suspense,  passion,  angst,  drama and that Hope Valley small town feel that I enjoy reading each and every book. The romance is still sizzling,  hot and full of chemistry. 

I  can't wait for the next book in the series.

My Review:

"The Rebel" is book 1 in the new series "Looking To Score" by Kendall Ryan. This is 

Eden and Holt's story and wow! What a fabulous story it is!  They have some brief history together from 6 years ago.  They had one night together and a mistake caused him to walk out of her life . Fast forward  on this sizzling 2nd chance at love romance,  Eden is the new owner of a professional Hockey team and Holt is her new Head of Security. Get ready for the sparks to fly. These 2 still have the chemistry and passion that they had for each other 6 years ago..it's stronger but Eden is dealing with a failing team, dealing with past and present colliding plus having Holt run to rescue her as her strong man, her Prince Charming,  her White Knight. I liked reading how these two get their HEA  but at times it did feel rushed. Great romance,  just had a few minor issues with story. Still a good read.

My Review:

Nightfall by Emily Goodwin is book 1 in the Grim Gate Series and starts the beginning of Anora and Ethan's story. Anora, a medium,  can see ghosts which has made her a bit of the "weirdo"  pretty much her whole life. Suddenly she has demon bounty hunters after her, she wished she just had ghosts trouble. What began as her being able to see ghosts her whole life has morphed and changed in a blink of an eye. Anora finds out that what she thought she knew was pretty much a lie. As her life explodes around her, she runs into Ethan, a demon hunter. He is this intense,  incredible man who pretty much swept Anora off her feet and showed her a new life, showed her what she was missing but he was hiding things. He has secrets and was very ruthless in how he made sure he hid from her. The story is a fast paced,  sizzling,  intense,  dark,  angsty, and  paranormal romance that will keep you glued from start to finish.

My Review:

A Deal With The Devil by Amelia Wilde is book 2 in The Devil Trilogy series. This is  the continuation of the story of Poseidon and Ashley's. Book 2 picked right off where book 1 left off. The action is more intense, dark romance still as dark, the passion more steamy. In this book there isn't as much push/pull, Poseidon starts to accept Ashley is meant for him and is something he should be fighting for,  not against. The readers get Poseidon backstory and how it shaped him into who he is now. Made me see why he did certain things and I started to see him in a new light. He became more relatable, not such a bad guy. There are more twists and turns,  angst,  secrets, action, excitement,  suspense,  danger and that sizzling chemistry, and the romance just as dark. Ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger. Can't wait for book 3!!!

My Review:

When He's Wild by Lisa Renee Jones is book 3 in the Walker Security: Adrian's Trilogy. This is the conclusion of Adrian Ramos and Priscilla Miller's story. This story picks up right where book 2 left off and the action , suspense and romance is plenty red-hot!!! Adrian is dealing with his past while trying to catch those bad biker gang that's after him. This makes him question if he's the right man for Priscilla and he starts pushing her away but she shows why she's that tough,  strong woman who doesn't run at the first sign of trouble. She's there for Adrian and she shows how much she cares by just being there. Twists and turns take place when it comes to the case against King Devil and danger is high for all good guys (Adrian,  Priscilla,  Walker Security). Danger explodes , everything is super intense and will Priscilla and Adrian make it out all in one piece? Will they get their HEA? What a thrilling and entertaining wrap to a addition  in the Walker Security series.

V.F.Mason always loved reading books and had quite a few fights with her momma over the genre she liked (romance, duh!) My Review:

Lucian's Reign by V.F. Mason is a dark and deliciously twisted love story that will have you engaged from the very start. This is sheer anti-hero at its best. This is  Lucian and Esmerelda's story. We also do get to see a peek at how/where the "four horsemen" came from. Both main characters have rather dark childhoods and learned to overcome their pasts. Yet when Lucian laid eyes on Esmeralda he became completely obsessed with her. He makes it where she is his and no others. Their pasts are intertwined together - Esmerelda's monsters from her childhood that she lives with still in her nightmares ...Lucian who has in essence become the monster to stop the monsters... oh yes! This story has it all- drama, suspense,  angst, secrets,  twists,  chemistry,  heat,  feels,  attraction,  obsession,  possession,  scars(physical &emotional) , revenge,   lots of DARK, and romance. Great characters,  good plot ! Can't wait for more .

My Review:

Requiem of the Soul is book 1 in  The Society Trilogy by Natasha Knight & A. Zavarelli. Be prepared for the dark,  angsty,  savage,  wickedly intense,  twisted,  steamy and intense mafia romance that this story brings. It's an arranged marriage/revenge story that's not for the faint of heart. Revenge is the name of game and Santiago De La Rosa uses whatever means necessary,  including  his own legacy as head of his family, and take up the position within the IVI Society because the past saw the explosion kill his father and brother plus damage his face with scars. So that has turned Santiago into this ruthless,  vengeful,  monster out for revenge of the worst kind... marrying the daughter of his enemy, Ivy Moreno. Ivy is a good girl whose forced into a marriage that she didn't want. She's being forced into it and taking abuse from all sides. Ivy tries to play the game but how can she when she doesn't even know what's going on. Then Santiago starts giving her mixed messages- one minute he's cold and mean to her, the next, he's hot and steamy towards her. Ivy doesn't know what to think and her body is on meltdown mode. Then there's Santiago's sister who has an axe to grind but nothing to show. She's evil and cruel towards Ivy. The story moves at rapid pace and many twists and turns going on. Book 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Will Santiago realize Ivy is innocent? Is Santiago going to realize that the threat is closer to home? Will Santiago and Ivy get their HEA? I'm very excited for book 2!
