ARC Review of NEVER SAY NEVER by Winter Renshaw

WOW! The author does it again by writing a fabulous story which kept me glued to my kindle and wouldn’t let me get any sleep until I finished this book, for which she is forgiven.

The couple in this book is people who know each other like 6 degrees of separation. There is Skylar who is Addie’s assistant (Addie was the heroine in book 1 “Never Kiss a Stranger” ) and then the hero is Theo is a billionaire –well is new to the money after an idea he had went HUGE and now he is rich  and oh, by the way, he is Addie’s cousin by marriage- we met him in book two “Never is a Promise”.
Both the MC in this story has such rich backgrounds that give them such heartbreaking stories that make you want to sooth their pain.  Skyler is getting her feet “wet” showing properties for Addie and she is new to New York—she is learning how to be a real estate agent/broker under Addison. She loves her job and she worries about how she looks. What no one realizes is that back up until college, she was very overweight until she slimmed down and when she got to New York, she dated a guy who went out with her and used her as “arm candy”. Skyler is still getting over that pain. Then she ends up showing this one property to this one gentleman and something about him has her wondering . He is baffling as a client and he is driving her up the wall with his wants but he still is very handsome.. As the story goes on, you see more of her character and how she is a bit naïve about life and people, especially men. (I.E. Corey-  go back to earlier statement about the six degrees of seperation)

Theo is a handsome man who wants what he wants. He is a go getter yet he has been used by women, friends in the past(I,E Corey--see told you about the six degrees of seperation ) so he doesn’t trust freely like he used to. His parents just up and left him with a mentor and he grew up with that family until something happened. That family became his family and they shaped the man he is today. He is super cocky and does not hesitate to stand up for himself; Works hard for his company –strong work ethic! Theo is moving to NY from LA and he was needing help to find a place so Addie suggested Skylar to him since she is busy. This is how they meet and it’s this chemistry between them. Theo found out she had a date and he had her break it- just so he could have her attention. Oohh that was deliciously naughty of him.
Theo wants to get all of Skyler’s attention but she’s not biting the bait. Even though they just met, the chemistry is so good, the heated scenes are awesome. There is wanting, needing that you can reading vibing thru the air. Skylar is making Theo work for her time and attention instead of being an afterthought and it looks like finally things are working.

But there is a serpent in garden of their Eden- there is a hinky character named Corey- this is someone in Theo’s past. He is NOT a good guy and let’s just say he is out to do MAJOR damage and revenge. Theo and Skyler end up in a  fight, are separated and there is this HUGE agenda  which this person has been undertaking all to get back at Theo.  Theo almost loses two very important thing in his life(Skyler and his business). He has to decide whether or not to give in or to let go. The twists that take place will have you wondering what just happened.
There are some intense emotions here in this story and it is heart pounding at times. There are games being played that made me wonder if the MC would ever make it. The ending of the story is absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend this book.

ARC Review of Sea Glass Sunrise by Donna Kauffman

Well, this is my first novel in the Cove series by Ms. Kauffman and I must say, it is a welcome breath of fresh air. I loved the reading about the people in the “Cove” and the MC in the story-Hannah and Calder and the sub stories going on. 

I understand that there was a Bachelors’ of Blueberry Cove series and now this is the Brides of Blueberry Cove series. In this beginning of the series story, Hannah McCrae was home for her brother’s wedding after a fiery end to her life and job in DC. On her way to the wedding, she was in a car accident which is where she meets Mr. Calder Blue who stopped to help her after the accident and this is how their love story begins.
Calder came to town to try and see about a job and to try and stop about a 10 yr feud between two parts of his family, the Blues. Then we see how Hannah and Calder are drawn together over land issues and how some residents do not take too kindly over interference and decide to get nasty over it. Battle lines are drawn and things get intense, in more ways than one. And omg, Hannah and Calder have some super intense connection, I have to tell you. I was completely rooting for them to come out on top and be together for page 35 and on. 

Oh, and the secondary characters which involve Hannah’s sisters- let me say, they will make you smile and say “Oh Lordy, sweet baby”. They are awesome and I can’t wait to see what stories will be written for them and who the men are for them. They definitely need to have stories because they are pure awesome. The secondary stories within the main story will keep you entertained. There are so many twists going on, it will be a bumpy ride so hang on. It will all be worth it.

ARC Review of Last of the Red-Hot Riders by Tina Leonard

This is Saint Markham & Cameron Dix’s story in the Hell’s Outlaw series; this is book #2. These two have the heat and the passion that will make you go insane. You want them to get together and admit their love because they flame so bright and so hot, and so intense that they will drive you nutty until they confess their feelings. They each want each other but each have a helping of pride and refuse to admit anything until something happens to open the flood gates and let loose .

Cameron is strong willed, very passionate and goes to the ends to make things happen for those she cares about. She is loyal and true; Saint is a born protector, a former SEAL, and as Shaggy would say “Loverman”. These two push at each other, at first to needle each other but slowly to make each other better persons who grow and learn. The story shows their progression and there is angst in there along with some twists along the way. 

You have your man who sees his lady who is fighting the attraction as is he but in the end you have the HEA. The MC are terrific and the supporting cast of characters is wonderful. Cant wait for more in the Hell’s Outlaws series.

ARC Review of Rage : Fire and Steel Motorcycle Club Romance by Kaylee Song

This is a wonderful MC romance with a different approach to the story than the other MC romances that I have read which is unique and makes you dive in further to this story.

This is the first book in the story by Ms. Song and the main characters are Layla “Lala” and Cullen aka "Rage" , her first love. Lala has come back home after her brother is gunned down in cold blood and she returns for his funeral. She tries to leave after the funeral but she is pressed to stay, being told that her life will be in danger from other gangs, mob factions, out for revenge so she stays. And she ends up staying with Rage. There is some definite heat between the two-some hot sexual tension that will have you looking for a fan or turning your AC in high, 

You have a mystery going on as to who is out trying to take over the biker house that Rage is apart of and that Lala’s brother was murdered for. Through their big ups and downs, gradual and huge rises and falls, dazzling and awful flashes, their innate love another came thru , and that in the end helped them to heal and in the end, helped them to grow even stronger together in their relationship.

There is so much action, there are villains, and there is a mystery. I love this story and the writing was on point. I was addictive to this story from page 2 until the end and now I am needing my fix for book two. I cannot wait for the author to bring book 2 out. This is a thrilling new book with romance with so much more in it and I highly recommend this story to read.

My review of Risk it by Jennifer Chance

Another great read in the Rule Breakers series. This is a story about Rand Sterling Winston IV and Dani Michaels. These are two very different people who definitely personifies the opposites attract theory for this story and how even though they are the exact opposite , they create sparks and that chemistry brings them together every time.

Dani is a woman who happens to be a con artist. Her upbringing was so very rough. She had no one she could really depend on. She lives by her rules and follows her set of rules and lives only in the moment because that’s all she can do, because to live in the past can just bring heartache. Rand, aka “Mr. Richie Rich” is a control freak of a business man used to getting what he wants and he wants Dani. He feels she scammed him into paying triple the cost for her friend’s painting. Rand decided he now wants her but he knows he will have to work triple time to get her.
 
There is some drama and a lot of emotional upheaval by the messiness of Dani’s past but you can tell she does care for Rand and there is a lot of sexual tension between them. Also you could tell that no matter how many times Dani would run or back away, Rand would never give up. Rand was one great example of a great Alpha hero- the command that he had and the perfect mix of caring and love he had for Dani. Dani had that independent minx down to a T. 

She also gave off that wounded heroine that is great for these stories that make this such a wonderful story to read. The emotional twists and turns were here and the ending was fantastic. I cannot wait for read what is next for the next Rule Breakers series.
